About us at Crazy Golf Fun
It all started about 8-9 years ago when I had a mad idea to build my own crazy golf course, well, the wife thought I was mad. Taking 18 months to build my first course whilst I was working full time meant I spent a lot of late nights in the garage, thinking of new concepts and ideas, and constantly redesigning the course. Eventually, I came up with 9 challenging holes to suit all ranges of abilities.
During the first few years of running the business, our service and cliental base was predominately fete’s, fayres, music festivals, and parties – which will still do! But then we branched out into wedding events, and that’s when the business really took off. Wedding events seemed to be a different kettle of fish – working towards the happy couple’s time schedule to fit in perfectly with their planned big day and liaising with the venue managers to ensure the course was in the perfect spot for their special day.
Moving forward – About Us
Now 80% of all our work is weddings and we have found that the majority of our clients prefer to hire mainly for the drink reception slot into the evening. To date, we have done hundreds of wedding events with a 100% record. We recognize that attention to detail is the most important thing, especially on your wedding day. This is why the course is cleaned after every event. Any repairs are fixed and maintained before the course goes out for the next event.
As most people plan for spring and summer weddings. We take advantage of the winter months when we are not as busy with bookings, by giving the course an ‘MOT’. The course gets a thorough check over, replacing broken parts, renewing clubs, balls and flags so it is fresh and ready for the start of the season.
This season we have replaced our van with a newer one. This helps reliability in getting to your venue on time – mind you sometimes the motorway does not always play ball! To avoid sitting in traffic, we leave super early to get on site in plenty of time. This year we are also introducing a themed course directed specifically at weddings. Which will include signs that complement the course. These signs and letters include ‘LOVE’, ‘MR & MRS (MR & MR, MRS & MRS)’, horseshoes, hearts and wedding bells, all in white.
The biggest news of all is that during 2023 we are expanding to two courses to satisfy more summer dates that always get booked up so early. This way we can create more happy and magical memories for more people which is what we love to do!
